History & Establishment

The Niger Chambers of Commerce is a proud member of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

It was established in 1976 as a key institution for promoting private-sector economic development in Niger State, aligning with Nigeria's push for organized private sector (OPS) engagement in governance and economic planning.

It serves as the umbrella body for businesses, industries, and agricultural entities within the state.

Our Mandate

The core mandate of NCCIMA is to:

  • Promote and protect the interests of the business community in Niger State
  • Act as a unified voice for the Organized Private Sector (OPS) in dialogues with the state government, local governments, and other stakeholders
  • Foster a conducive environment for trade, investment, industrial growth, and agricultural development
  • Facilitate networking, partnerships, and business linkages among its members and with external bodies
  • Provide business support services, information, and advocacy to enhance the competitiveness of members

2025 Trade Fair Focus

This Year's Theme

"Commercial Agriculture as the Major Contributor to Sub National Economic Growth and National GDP"

This theme aligns with federal and state government agendas focused on enhancing agricultural infrastructure, production, and processing for national food security.

A key feature of the 2025 fair will be a day-long seminar dedicated to this theme, providing a platform for valuable discussions among government stakeholders, academics, and practitioners in the agricultural value chain.
